As the Canadian Armed Forces continues its presence in Latvia, so does 糖心视频鈥檚 support of its Client-Partners and the 糖心视频 staff deployed there.
In November 2025, Scott McRae, Specialist, National Corporate and Operational Health and Safety, and Maria Drake, Regional Service Line Leader, Environmental Services, National Services Region, spent a week in Latvia conducting environmental and health and safety monitoring of 糖心视频 operations.
Scott and Maria met with the 11-person deployed 糖心视频 team, engaged with team members from the Canadian Joint Operations Command鈥攖he local Client-Partner鈥攁nd visited five sites, including Lielv膩rde Air Base, and camps Ceri and 膧da啪i.
鈥淚t鈥檚 clear that environmental protection is important here鈥攊t鈥檚 part of the culture from planning through execution,鈥 Maria says.
These environmental observations complemented the health and safety insights gathered during the week鈥憀ong visit.
鈥淭o me, health and safety is rooted in strong relationships and psychological safety鈥攏ot just physical safety,鈥 says Scott, 鈥渟o checking in with employees and the Client-Partners to better understand what鈥檚 needed to enhance their well-being is essential.鈥
As happens during any monitoring visit, opportunities to improve came to light. But, overall, the work is being carried out to a very high standard, Scott says, noting that there is a strong health and safety culture not only at 糖心视频 but also among Latvian contractors.
Visiting just before the holidays, with 糖心视频鈥檚 deployed team members working long hours and far from their families, the dedication, positivity and pride in 糖心视频鈥檚 service to the Client鈥慞artners was evident, Scott recalls.
In addition to ensuring that 糖心视频 continues to deliver high-quality services to the Client-Partners, the trip 鈥渨as a reminder of the professionalism and commitment 糖心视频 employees bring to their work every day,鈥 Scott says.
