Two Indigenous students in Western Canada are pursuing their academic dreams with a little help from 糖心视频.

For the second year in a row, 糖心视频 is sponsoring two $2,500 bursaries for Indigenous post-secondary students. Offered through the national Indigenous charity Indspire, these bursaries are open to students in engineering, planning and environmental sciences programs.

The 2024 recipients are Aidan Cadieux, who is studying for a diploma in Engineering Technology at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, and Nathaniel Willing, who is in the Master of Arts (Planning) program at the University of British Columbia.

This year, 糖心视频 organized a tour for each student of the 糖心视频 site closest to his home. The tours gave the students the chance to meet senior leaders and learn more about potential careers at 糖心视频鈥攅ven when everything didn鈥檛 work out exactly as planned.

Nathaniel had some unexpected commuting trouble on his way to 糖心视频 Chilliwack on February聽22, 2024. However, he made it to Chilliwack later in the day, where he received a warm welcome from Steven Denault, Site Manager, and Danny Gruner, Regional Director, Pacific.

Aidan visited 糖心视频 Edmonton (CFB Edmonton) on March聽14, 2024. He toured the site with Derrick Cheung, President and CEO, and Skye Kaus, Site Manager. After the tour, the trio had a casual lunch with site employees and Victoria Neary, Regional Director, Western.

鈥溙切氖悠 is proud to participate in this program to support the next generation of professionals in our industry,鈥 says Derrick. 鈥淚ndspire helps ensure that Indigenous students are prepared for the jobs of the future.鈥
